For holidays (vacation) and days off, written permission must be granted by the client and Charlie works.
Holidays must be requested at the client with a fully completed holiday application form. After approval the employee must have this form approved by Charlie works.
Other forms of holiday requests are not accepted. If no holiday application has been submitted and the employee is not present, then this is deemed to be an unauthorized absence. Repeated unauthorized absence can lead to termination of the employment.
Employees can take up to 3 weeks of consecutive holidays or longer in consultation with the employer, provided this is stated and submitted in writing.
If the employee does not have sufficient leave of absence days, unpaid leave can be requested in writing. The employer has the right to refuse the leave if there is such a substantial business interest that the interest of the employee must give way.
If the employee is employed at a client where, during a certain period, an overall business closure or collective holiday applies, the employee will take his/her leave days during this period.
In case of applying for special leave, the employee must have submitted this no later than two weeks after the event. For more information about special leave, see Article 57 of the ABU CAO.
